It was around six or so hours, give or take, after Andrew's text message that Kurt arrived back at the hospital. He sent through a text when he managed to find a place to park in the lot and then just sat in his car with his head resting on the steering wheel for a good long few minutes. He was tired, and the events of the past few days were catching up with him. His hands were wrapped around the steering wheel with his forehead resting against his wrist as he worked up the energy to get out of the car and go back into the hospital to check how Blaine was progressing.
He just made a really stupid error, the second in as many days. He honestly thought it was the right thing to do, but apparently not. With a shake of his head, he forced his feet to take him out of the car and back into the large, looming hospital building. Riding up in the elevator, he slumped against the wall, dropping his head back against it as he watched the lights illuminate in the floor numbers as he ascended. What the hell was he doing? Why was this all making him so crazy and reckless? He had his reckless days when he was younger, and had grown out of them long ago. Why the hell did this doctor have to make his mind malfunction? It was stupid. It couldn't happen, right?
He was dressed down in a pair of designer jeans and a long leather jacket with silver trimmings and a black fedora adorning his head. It was dressed down for him, anyway. It was getting late and beyond visiting hours for the HDU, so he made his way into the unit quietly and found Andrew waiting at the nurses station for him with the promised coffee. "How is he?" he asked, as he gratefully took the cup and put it to his lips for a long sip. He really need the caffeine buzz to hit, and sooner rather than later.
