Kurt was happy to be able to help Blaine, even if he had issued quite the ultimatum with it, and even if he was a little nervous at the prospect of having Blaine stay with him. Sure, before any of this all happened and Kurt barely knew the guy, he offered for Blaine to stay in his guest room when a leaky pipe flooded Blaine's apartment but things had been way different back them. It was before Kurt had saved his life, and before the prospect of a date had been on the table and the rudely - but expectedly - snatched back off it.

However, Kurt managed to shuffle his roster around and palm of a few shifts to his 2IC so he had nearly a week off work to help Blaine get back on his feet after the illness. It was a huge favour, though Kurt had no intentions of asking for anything in return. He just wanted Blaine to talk to him about all this confusing crap he was on about. In the meantime, Kurt could nurse him back to health and wouldn't have to worry that he was doing something like choking on his own vomit or dying in a shower. There might have been a distance between them since Blaine took the date out of the equation, but Kurt still cared for him. Of course he did, but he knew they hardly knew each other, too, and maybe now was a perfect chance to change that. Kill two birds with one stone, so to speak.

He just finished his shift and he was exhausted, but arrived at Blaine's hospital room to pick him up and take him home. He adjusted the strap of his shoulder bag against his chest and stifled a small yawn as he came over. "Okay, where are these discharge papers? The sooner we get out of here the better, I'm ready to keel over. Which, by the way, you're going to bed when I do so I can be safe in the knowledge you're comfortable while I crash out."
